Over The Wall provides FREE residential activity camps for children and teenagers living with serious health challenges and their families, to enable them to reach beyond their perceived limitations and rediscover a whole new world of possibilities. Our camps help develop the confidence, self esteem, coping strategies and peer relationships of our campers.
Our mission is to provide free, fun, life-changing camp experiences to children with serious illnesses and their families.
Our vision is to grow our organisation and services so that we can cater for every qualifying child and family member wishing to attend our camps.
1. Health Challenge Camps: 5 night residential camps for children & teenagers aged 8-17 who are experiencing or have recently experienced serious health challenges.
2. Sibling Camps: 4 night residential camps for children & teenagers aged 8-17 who have a brother or sister (of any age) who is currently receiving treatment or experiencing health challenges.
3. Family Camps: 2 night residential camp for families who have a child or teenager from birth to 17, who is currently receiving treatment or experiencing health challenges. Here is a little taste of what Camp is like:
Over The Wall accepts applications from returning campers who continue to meet our camper essential requirements, and will allocate camp places based on need. Campers will usually be placed on a waiting list if they have attended camp three or more times, to allow new campers to experience camp. Waiting list places will be allocated based on need and availability. As we're always trying to improve our application process and with each child's changing needs families can apply for as long as they meet our criteria but a new application will be required on each occasion. Places are not guaranteed and whilst we consider every child's needs individually, returning campers may be put on the reserve list to allow new campers the opportunity to experience camp.
