General guidelines

Behaviour

OTW staff and volunteers are unable to care for children who have severe behavioural conditions such as those on an Autistic spectrum. We do however understand that medication can cause mood swings and that children who have been diagnosed with a serious illness can often have low moods. We will have no problem in accepting these children. This applies to both siblings and sick children.

Lifting

We are unable to take children / young people who are cannot weight bear to transfer. We will however look at individual cases and assess accordingly.

Cystic fibrosis

We are unfortunately not able to take children with cystic fibrosis due to the risk of cross infection.
