Employee Volunteering

Employee volunteering is a fantastic way of supporting Over The Wall. We rely entirely on our amazing team of volunteers who really help us to bring magic to our camps. Without them, we wouldn’t be able to run the camps.

In addition to providing life-changing experiences for seriously-ill children, the volunteer experiences we provide offer a wonderful  opportunity to develop valuable personal and professional skills in our adult volunteers.

Team Volunteering Challenges 2016

  • Run a workshop at camp (1 day team opportunity)

This is an exclusive opportunity to visit one of our camps for a day and deliver a unique and exciting activity to our campers. A great team challenge, where small employee teams can design a creative children’s activity and run it at camp over a 2 hour period, followed by lunch with the children and full camp tour.

  • Camp set-up and fold-down days (1 day team opportunity)

A great ‘hands on’ volunteering opportunity for a team of employees to spend one day with our Camp Team and help to either set-up or fold-down one of our amazing camps.

We are also keen to hear from any companies who might be able to offer their pro-bono services – anything from legal, creative to logistical support will be of a huge help to Over The Wall!

“It was emotionally and physically demanding and more incredibly fulfilling than I could have imagined. I was amazed at what I would be able to offer and what I could get back from the experience.”  – Corporate Volunteer

“Just wanted to say again a massive thank you for making our team feel so valued, inspired and welcome. We had such a great day, fun whilst helping at the same time. You clearly have put a great deal of thought into your corporate volunteer support days and it truly shows! The feedback was so positive and everyone really felt it was such a worthwhile day spent with your team and for your charity. Wishing you and all your team, all the best with your tremendous work. Truly inspirational.” – Corporate Volunteer
