Paris Marathon 2008

Back in 2007 it seemed like a great idea to sign up to run the Paris marathon. neither of us were runners or athletes of any kind and could both do with losing a few pounds. But having seen our daughter go through a brain tumour and the following trauma, and then having seen her confidence and happiness soar at the OTW camps it was the least we could do to find a way to raise some money for them.

As the time neared and the training increased we both had severe doubts as to why we were doing this, but in march 2008 our other 2 children attended a siblings camp . Although before it they were very nervous they returned from camp there old selves, the happy children they were before Naomi's illness. That was all the incentive we needed to get us round the 26,2 miles.

Paris in the springtime is beautiful and what better way to enjoy it than jogging with thousands of others all in various states of exhaustion, knowing we were doing it for something as wonderful as OTW. Go on everyone get your training shoes on , if we can do it anyone can.
