Easter camp 2007- 2 weeks of sizzling sibling success

March into April 2007 saw us facilitating 2 weeks of siblings camp for the first time in Over The Walls history.

We were so lucky with the weather that we even managed to have a massive water fight which was great fun. Nurse Wendy would be very please to know that there were many cries for water, hats and sun cream!! The 2 weeks were so successful that as long as we have the number of volunteers required we will aim to facilitate another 2 weeks of sibling camps next year at Bryanston. A huge thank you to all the volunteers who attended the 2 weeks over Easter and made the siblings weeks such a success- we really could not have done it without you!

The letters and emails that we have had in the office have proven that the children had a great time one mum quotes “He (sibling) has come back a different child, the time we had with our daughter (sick child) to do different things has really made a difference”. Why not check out the photo gallery for Easter 2007? To see for yourself all the fun and action that was had by all.

So with Easter camp over we are now frantically planning summer camp, which brings me on to introducing Steve Lille. Volunteers who took part in Easter met Steve over Easter it was decided that we would offer Steve the role of Activities and Logistics manager. As an ex military man Steve brings excellent organisational skills a sense of fun and the ability to facilitate drama sessions, so he has already proven his worth! So when you see us all marching down to meals you will know why!

Our next stop is Scotland and the staff team and returning volunteers are very excited as it will be the first time we have set up camp from scratch in new premises. The school we have chosen is beautiful why not check out the website.
