Thinking of volunteering?
I just wanted to drop a quick email to say thank you for everything last week — I had the most amazing week I could possibly have imagined. Over the Wall do some incredible work — the kids in our team (and the volunteers!) loved every minute of camp as you could probably tell by all the tears on Friday!
A Campers Poem
I had a great time in Scotland and have to say I’m rather hooked. I can't wait til camp next year and will make sure I keep plenty of holiday.
I just wanted to say thanks for having me at camp I had the most amazing time. I have met such a great bunch of people and learnt a lot about myself. It was great to see the campers confidence (& my own) developing over the week. It was really hard to say goodbye to the campers & volunteers but I will definitely be back next year for more fun!
A Campers Story
Just wanted to say I had a great week and really enjoyed the camp. I am definitely up for the siblings Scotland camp next year so please let me know when you have dates for it so I can make sure I can get the time off work.
Thanks again for such a fab week, life back at work seems a bit dull now and lunch times in the canteen are not half the fun - no one will shake their booty!
See you next year I hope
I'm sure I got as much as the kids did out of it as well as a whole lot of new friends I would not have met without you.
I didn't do the warm fuzzie thing as I wasn't sure what to say or how serious they were taken, however after having read the ones I received, I had to swallow hard and fight back the tears!! It turned out to be a very emotional day.
It was in the whole an excellent experience which is very hard to describe I haven't stopped telling folk about it since I came home.
The camp had so many interesting extra's which I was taken with the cabin chat etc was a great thing so was the singing I don't usually have much confidence with that kind of thing its usually dark at scouts camp fire so you don’t see the mixed up actions.
Volunteer 2009
I had an amazing time at camp and 'normal' life seems very dull now! I definitely want to do it again next year. How would I go about applying again?
