Please register with GamesAid today and vote for Over The Wall between 14th August and 5th September 2017.
GamesAid is the charitable arm of the UK Video Games Industry. Each year GamesAid raises thousands of pounds which they use to support smaller charities who help vulnerable children and young people in the UK. Last year ten charities received a staggering £95,400 from GamesAid to help support their work with children and young people.
In less than 5 minutes you can change the life of a seriously ill child by voting for Over The Wall to receive support from GamesAid.
Over The Wall provides genuinely life-changing Therapeutic Recreation activity camps for children living with serious illnesses and their families. The children we support typically come to us with very low levels of confidence and self-esteem. Life-limiting illnesses often preclude these children from participating in mainstream life, due to the complexity of their medical needs. Seriously ill children experience severe disruption to their education, natural and social development. The impact is felt by every member of the family. Our camps are uniquely nurturing and supportive. The children are encouraged to challenge themselves and each other to achieve things they never thought possible. We see them grow in confidence and help restore their hopes for the future. We currently run 13 camps to which we welcome 650+ campers. We rely on the support of 700+ volunteers including medical professionals to run our camps.
GamesAid funding would be used to help us run more camps in communities around the UK; helping us to change the lives of hundreds of children and families.
