RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival

Over The Wall at the RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival

Over The Wall is excited to be appearing at this year’s RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival on 4th July. The Over The Wall Garden, by Matthew Childs Design, is inspired by and designed as a conceptual space to highlight the great work conducted by Over The Wall children’s charity and Japanese healthcare company Takeda UK, which supports children living with rare and serious illness or disability, and their families.

Over The Wall Children's Charity

Over The Wall champions the voices of these children and encourages them to reach beyond the boundaries of their illness and to discover a world of possibilities. The circular garden asks visitors to step ‘over the wall’ and enter an uplifting, joyful space. A winding path leads visitors towards a ‘sunrise’ circular opening in the wall, symbolising new possibilities. On the way, they pass vivid planting, which references the colours of the charity’s Brilliance Beads (awarded to children who attend OTW camps) – orange for support, green for courage, purple for fun, yellow for positivity, pink for creativity and blue for teamwork and elements representing Takeda’s Japanese heritage.

Takeda UK

We are so grateful to Takeda for this opportunity. To help support our life-changing work with children and families across the UK, please consider making a donation today. Every donation will be doubled by a generous friend of Over The Wall, meaning your gift will go twice as far.
