Over The Wall Sibling Residential Camp
Our sibling camps have been developed for children and teenagers (aged 8-17) who have a brother or sister (of any age) who is currently receiving treatment or experiencing health challenges. Siblings can feel particularly isolated or side-lined and our transformative camps, which place them at the centre of the action, helps redress the balance.
Coping with an illness in the family can often lead to siblings having to adopt a caregiving role and therefore, many miss out on critical areas of childhood development, such as socialising and developing relationships with other children.
Our camps are 100% fun and 100% free, for everyone, all of the time.
At Over The Wall, our camps specifically for siblings of children with health challenges, allows them to meet new friends, accomplish new challenges and above all, have fun.
Our Siblings camps take place in a medically safe environment – our team of volunteers which includes doctors, paramedics and nurses mean that families are suitably supported with medical assistance on hand if required.
Transport
To help you get to camp we have transport support options from London, Birmingham and Leeds. Please note that not all transport is guaranteed but we will do our very best to support your journey.
“Camp is one of the happiest places I have ever been, I have met some of the best people through Over The Wall and I have experienced some of the best days of my life. For years I felt shoved aside for my brother’s needs, I felt isolated, left out. But when I came to camp, it was like I finally had people there for me.” – Rhianna, Sibling’s Camper
