Over The Wall Health Challenge Residential Camp
Over The Wall’s free residential Health Challenge camps are designed to bring about transformational change to tackle these issues. We invite applications from children aged 8 to 17 years, living in the UK, who are currently receiving treatment or experiencing health challenges.
For children living with serious health challenges, life is often impacted by missed opportunities to participate in the everyday activities enjoyed by their friends and peers. This can result in isolation, poor self-esteem and low confidence – all of which can become a barrier to future growth and development.
We aim for every camper to be empowered with a new sense of ambition, self-confidence and a better understanding of their abilities.
“Camp was the first time she had been on any kind of social outing, for over two years – and she was really ready for something like that. She had spent so long in isolation and had been so poorly for such a long time, and so camp came at a great time for her.” – Camper Parent
Our camps are 100% fun and 100% free, for everyone, all of the time.
At Over The Wall, our camps are designed specifically for siblings of children with health challenges. Allowing them to meet new friends, accomplish new challenges and above all, have fun.
Our camps are held in a medically safe environment – our team of volunteers which includes doctors, paramedics and nurses means that families are suitably supported with medical assistance on hand if required.
To help you get to camp we have transport support options from London, Bristol, Southampton. Please note that not all transport is guaranteed but we will do our very best to support your journey.
“After being at the camp for a short while, you could see how positive the experience was, Henry realised – ‘I’m hanging out with children, who all have the same thing as me…!’” – Camper Parent
This Camp is run and organised by Over The Wall. Over The Wall has hired St Mary’s School as a venue for this camp. St Mary’s School is not responsible for this Over The Wall event.
