DESCRIPTION:We’re sorry\, but our 2025 residential camp applications are now closed. Sign up to hear when residential camp applications open for 2026! In the meantime\, why not look at our camp from home experiences with Camp in the Cloud for this Autumn – Autumn 2025 Camp in the Cloud\n______________________ \n  \nCome and join us for a weekend filled with mischief and magic!\n  \nWhere\nWhitemoor Lakes Activities Centre\, Barley Green Lane\, Lichfield\, WS13 8QT \nWhen\nFriday 15th – Sunday 17th August (two nights) \nArrive for the fun to begin between 3-4pm on Friday. Goodbyes and departures will be after lunch on Sunday.  \nThis Over The Wall and DRWF camp is for families with a child who has Type 1 Diabetes (scroll down for more about who can join us).  \n Meet families on a similar journey to you and have a fun-filled weekend!  \nGetting to camp\nThere is parking at all our camps\, so many families choose to make their own way to us. However\, we can also pick you up from the nearest train station to camp. If you’d like to arrange this\, please let us know in your application.   \nOur free-of-charge residential camps are more than just a holiday!\nCampers have transformational experiences when they join the Over The Wall and DRWF Family Camp. You can step into the camp bubble\, where our meaningful activity programme has been designed to be inclusive and help every camper succeed. Whether your family make new friends\, take on the climbing wall\, or find new talents\, you should all leave camp feeling proud.   \nOTWC Partnership Camps are where many children and young people with health challenges grow their confidence\, form lifelong bonds\, and feel more independent than ever before.   \nOur camps have bedrooms and bathrooms\, so you’ll have a comfortable place to rest and won’t have to pitch a tent!   \nYour team of mischief and magic makers!\nTo make camp possible for you Over The Wall Camp and DRWF provide the specialist care to support your family at all times. Camp is a safe and supportive environment for you to step outside your comfort zone.   \nThis partnership camp is run by bringing staff from Over The Wall Camp and DRWF together\, supported by our wonderful volunteers. \nOver The Wall Camps are 100% free of charge\nThis partnership camp has only been made possible by the financial support from DRWF and our generous fundraisers\, meaning our camps are 100% fun and 100% free\, for everyone\, all of the time.  \nWho can join us at camp?\nDRWF Family Camp\nTwo nights of fun for the whole family\, so the grown-ups don’t miss out!   \nYou can join us if:\nAt least one member of your family is aged 8-17 years. \nAnd at least one child in your family has Type 1 Diabetes  \nI’ve applied! What next?\nIf we need further information to complete our assessment\, a member of our nursing team will contact you. Otherwise\, you will hear from us regarding whether your child has been offered a place\, on Wednesday 2nd April 2025. Please note that NO offers of places or waitlist offers will be sent before this date.  \nIf you apply for camp after this date\, you will be sent an offer or waitlist place as soon as our nursing team has assessed your application.    \nHow else can you experience the magic of Over The Wall Camp?\nYou can also enjoy Camp in the Cloud\, an engaging camp-at-home activity programme that allows your family to spend quality time together with no cost or planning involved for you.
