SUMMARY:Robin Hood Mini and Half Marathon
DESCRIPTION:Robin Hood Half Marathon\nRegistration Fee: FREE\nFundraising Target: £250 minimum \nThe Robin Hood Half Marathon is one of the longest established and most popular city centre road events in the UK. \nThe course itself is great for both seasoned runners and beginners alike – for beginners\, whose key objective is to complete the course\, to more regular long distance event runners\, looking to beat their personal best time. It is a single lap\, 13.1 mile (21.1km) traffic free course. The race starts and finishes in Victoria Embankment and is undulating\, so not all flat. There are a couple of inclines at the start of the route\, whilst your legs are more up for it (Mile 2\, 4 and 6). \nA picturesque route taking you along Victoria Embankment\, River Trent\, past Nottingham Castle\, near the Robin Hood Statue\, through the Nottingham Park Estate and through Wollaton Park where you’re bound to spot some deer roaming. Finishing on Victoria Embankment Recreation Ground next to the River Trent. You don’t have to raise money for charity but we’re delighted that most of you do. If you have not already chosen a charity to run for\, please do so when you enter. \nEmail: events@otw.org.uk to register your interest. \nRobin Hood Mini Marathon\nRegistration Fee: FREE\nFundraising Target: £150 minimum \nThe Mini Marathon is a fun run open to all the family. From serious athletes wanting a shorter race\, to complete beginners wanting to have fun\, get fit and raise money for charity all at the same time. The start time is 10:00am\, after the Half Marathon. Chip timing will be used for all competitors\, so everyone will get their position and race time. \nAdults and children can take part in the Mini Marathon. Children must be at least 4 years of age. If they are under the age of 11 they must be accompanied by a participating adult; both child and adult have to enter the race. \nEmail: events@otw.org.uk to register your interest. \nSupport Over The Wall Camp\nOver The Wall provides a place where children with serious illness and disabilities can be brave and have fun with others. These amazing places are in-person – at residential camps and also available online – with Camp in the Cloud! \nBy taking part in this year’s Robin Hood Half Marathon or Robin Hood Mini Marathon\, you’ll be supporting UK children and young people living with a serious illness or disability\, as well as their families. \n£350 could pay for a whole day at a residential camp for a child with a serious illness£520 could pay for a seriously ill child to attend one of our interactive\, fun online camps for a week£1\,500 could pay for a seriously ill child to attend one of our life-changing residential camps for a week \nFor more information\, contact our Fundraising team at events@otw.org.uk
