DESCRIPTION:We’re sorry\, but our 2025 residential camp applications are now closed. Sign up to hear when residential camp applications open for 2026! In the meantime\, why not look at our camp from home experiences with Camp in the Cloud for this Autumn – Autumn 2025 Camp in the Cloud\n_______________ \nCome and join us for a weekend filled with mischief and magic!\nWhere\nWhitemoor Lakes Activities Centre\, Barley Green Lane\, Lichfield\, WS13 8QT \nWhen\nFriday 19th – Sunday 21st September 2025 (two nights)\nArrive for the fun to begin between 3-4pm on Friday. Goodbyes and departures will be after lunch on Sunday.  \nThis camp is for families with a child who has anaphylaxis and is required to carry an auto-injector. (scroll down for more about who can join us).  \n Meet families on a similar journey to you\, and have a fun-filled weekend!  \nGetting to camp\nCamps are in several locations across the UK. There is parking at all our camps\, so many families choose to make their own way to us. However\, for our Family Camps\, we can pick you up from the nearest train station to camp. If you’d like to arrange this\, please let us know in your application.   \nOur free-of-charge residential camps are more than just a holiday!\nCampers have transformational experiences when they join the Over The Wall Camp family. You can step into the camp bubble\, where our meaningful activity programme has been designed to be inclusive and help every camper succeed. Whether your family make new friends\, take on the climbing wall\, or find new talents\, you should all leave camp feeling proud.   \nOver The Wall Camp is where many children and young people with health challenges grow their confidence\, form lifelong bonds\, and feel more independent than ever before.   \nOur camps have bedrooms and bathrooms\, so you’ll have a comfortable place to rest and won’t have to pitch a tent!   \nYour team of mischief and magic makers!\nTo make camp possible for you\, our team of nurses is there at all times and can support your family when needed. Camp is a safe and supportive environment for you to step outside your comfort zone.   \nCamps are run by our Over The Wall Camp staff team and wonderful volunteers.     \nOver The Wall Camps are 100% free of charge\nOver The Wall camps are fully funded by our generous donors and fundraisers\, meaning our camps are 100% fun and 100% free\, for everyone\, all of the time.  \nWho can join us at camp?\nOver The Wall Allergy Family Camp\nTwo nights of fun for the whole family\, so the grown-ups don’t miss out!   \nYou can join us if:\nAt least one member of your family is aged 8-17 years. \nAnd at least one child or young person (0-17 years) who has anaphylaxis and is required to carry an auto-injector. \nFor more about our camp eligibility guidance\, click here.   \nI’ve applied! SUMMARY:Robin Hood Mini and Half Marathon
DESCRIPTION:Robin Hood Half Marathon\nRegistration Fee: FREE\nFundraising Target: £250 minimum \nThe Robin Hood Half Marathon is one of the longest established and most popular city centre road events in the UK. \nThe course itself is great for both seasoned runners and beginners alike – for beginners\, whose key objective is to complete the course\, to more regular long distance event runners\, looking to beat their personal best time. It is a single lap\, 13.1 mile (21.1km) traffic free course. The race starts and finishes in Victoria Embankment and is undulating\, so not all flat. There are a couple of inclines at the start of the route\, whilst your legs are more up for it (Mile 2\, 4 and 6). \nA picturesque route taking you along Victoria Embankment\, River Trent\, past Nottingham Castle\, near the Robin Hood Statue\, through the Nottingham Park Estate and through Wollaton Park where you’re bound to spot some deer roaming. Finishing on Victoria Embankment Recreation Ground next to the River Trent. You don’t have to raise money for charity but we’re delighted that most of you do. If you have not already chosen a charity to run for\, please do so when you enter. \nEmail: events@otw.org.uk to register your interest. \nRobin Hood Mini Marathon\nRegistration Fee: FREE\nFundraising Target: £150 minimum \nThe Mini Marathon is a fun run open to all the family. From serious athletes wanting a shorter race\, to complete beginners wanting to have fun\, get fit and raise money for charity all at the same time. The start time is 10:00am\, after the Half Marathon. Chip timing will be used for all competitors\, so everyone will get their position and race time. \nAdults and children can take part in the Mini Marathon. Children must be at least 4 years of age. If they are under the age of 11 they must be accompanied by a participating adult; both child and adult have to enter the race. \nEmail: events@otw.org.uk to register your interest. \nSupport Over The Wall Camp\nOver The Wall provides a place where children with serious illness and disabilities can be brave and have fun with others. These amazing places are in-person – at residential camps and also available online – with Camp in the Cloud! \nBy taking part in this year’s Robin Hood Half Marathon or Robin Hood Mini Marathon\, you’ll be supporting UK children and young people living with a serious illness or disability\, as well as their families. \n£350 could pay for a whole day at a residential camp for a child with a serious illness£520 could pay for a seriously ill child to attend one of our interactive\, fun online camps for a week£1\,500 could pay for a seriously ill child to attend one of our life-changing residential camps for a week \nFor more information\, contact our Fundraising team at events@otw.org.uk
