OTW shortlisted for GamesAid funding

Over The Wall is excited to have been shortlisted to benefit from GamesAid funding – and voting is now open!

GamesAid is the UK gaming charity which acts as an umbrella to support a number of smaller charities who help disadvantaged and disabled children and young people. Each year GamesAid raises thousands of pounds and last year eight charities received an amazing £69,729 to help support their work with children and young people.

Over The Wall offers seriously ill children the opportunity to play the best they can through transformational camp experiences. With more than 50,000 children living with serious health challenges in the UK, GamesAid funding would help us welcome more children to camp, help us take a step toward building our very own facility to include virtual reality technologies and change the lives of hundreds of children and families.

Parents like Tal understand the transformative effect of our camps: “Illness just takes a back seat for the week. And that’s what it’s about. That’s why they are there. To just feel normal.”

If you work in the games industry, or know someone who does, registration is free and takes just 30 seconds, visit www.gamesaid.org/join-us. Your voting card will be sent to you via email direct from GamesAid. Voting runs from 16 August until 9 September.

Thank you for your vote!
