A little taste of what camp is like...

Medical Provision

Medical care at camp is provided by our ‘Beach Patrol’; a skilled team of volunteer nurses, doctors and paramedics under the direction of our Director of Nursing.

The Over The Wall Nursing and/or Wellbeing team reviews every child’s application to make sure we can meet their needs at camp. They may contact a child’s doctor, teacher or any other professional involved, if they need more information.

Beach Patrol will be responsible for providing “home from home care”, which includes giving medications, NG/PEG feeds, bladder/bowel care and other necessary care for your child at camp. Overnight there will be a nurse and doctor on call for emergencies. Please note, we do NOT provide planned overnight care. If your child is unwell, we may need to take them to hospital for treatment, if this happens you will be immediately informed. We also have a Clinical Advisory Board, made up of medical and nursing experts, who provide advice in relation to clinical issues.
