Further funding helps Over The Wall to run more camps

We are delighted to announce that we have received a second tranche of funding from The Kentown Wizard Foundation to help support a record number of over 1,000 children in 2019.

Having received £280k from the foundation back in 2017 (as the first instalment of a three-year grant worth £865k in total), the funding has already enabled Over The Wall to grow its team, develop its partnership camps with other charities and support 866 campers- a 30% increase on the charity’s previous camper total.

Our CEO Kevin Mathieson, said, “Thanks to The Kentown Wizard Foundation, we have been able to grow our teams across all operations, but most importantly we have provided an unprecedented number of children with memorable, fun and life-changing experiences of camp in 2018.”

Margaret Ingram, Chief Executive of the Kentown Wizard Foundation said, “The results of the first tranche of our grant have been remarkable. Over The Wall has exceeded the number of campers they planned to support in 2018 and provided a total of 15 camps across the UK- five of which were with partnership charities providing illness specific camps. We therefore had no hesitation in advancing the second-year monies and we have no doubt they will be used wisely to facilitate further expansion. It’s been a great pleasure for Kentown Wizard Foundation to assist Over The Wall to achieve its ambitions and we look forward to seeing the positive results of the second-year funding in 2019!”
