A glowing report for Over The Wall Camp in Scotland!

Last month, during our Health Challenge and Siblings Camp in Perthshire, Over The Wall Camp was inspected by the Care Inspectorate – the body who regulates care services in Scotland.

Last week, we were thrilled to receive the full report, in which we were rated as ‘Very good’ across the board, with no areas for improvement!

Over The Wall Camp Staff

'Major Strengths' in the Staff Team

The inspection noted ‘major strengths’ in our staff team, and also in how we support people’s wellbeing. Companionship, a wide variety of activities, and high quality facilities were all mentioned as contributing to the success of camp.

We were proud to read in the report that “Campers benefitted from impressive care and support provided by a team of highly motivated volunteers and staff, who enabled them to make the most of all the opportunities.”

The inspector concluded that Over The Wall Camp’s aims, ethos, vision and values ‘very successfully underpinned the operation of the camp’.

Of course, without our dedicated volunteers, none of this would be possible – so Over The Wall Camp would like to thank everyone who contributes to helping our campers rediscover the magic of childhood!
