A £200,000 gift brings us closer to building our home

This summer, Over The Wall Camp received an incredible £200,000 grant from the Garfield Weston Foundation – a gift that’s helping us take a giant step towards creating our first permanent home for children and families living with long-term health conditions.

Building a Place Full of Magic

Thanks to this support, we’re transforming the former Ockbrook School near Derby into a state-of-the-art residential camp. The 17-acre site will soon be buzzing with laughter, play, and friendship, with brand-new bedrooms, dining spaces, and kitchens ready to welcome families.

The Ockbrook site will also feature first-class medical facilities and amazing recreational spaces – from an adventure park to an open-air amphitheatre – giving children a chance to rediscover the magic of childhood in a safe, supportive environment.

We are deeply grateful to the Garfield Weston Foundation for their generous support. With their partnership, we are one step closer to welcoming thousands more children and families living with long term health conditions, giving them the chance to rediscover the magic of childhood in a safe environment.
