Ken's generosity and belief
We are very sad to hear that Ken Townsley, founder of The Kentown Wizard Foundation has died.
Ken’s support for Over The Wall Camp over many years has been extraordinary.
He believed strongly in using his success to benefit others and we would not be here at Ockbrook with such a bright future, without his generosity and belief in our work.
We send our sincere condolences to Ken’s family and everyone at The Kentown Wizard Foundation.
Ken's Legacy
"It is with deep sadness that we acknowledge the passing of Ken Townsley, a remarkable friend and supporter of Over The Wall Camp. Ken’s unwavering generosity and commitment to making a lasting difference in the lives of children and families have shaped the very future of our camp. His vision, passion, and belief in our mission have been invaluable, and we are eternally grateful for the opportunities he has created for so many. On behalf of everyone at Over The Wall Camp, I extend our heartfelt condolences to Ken’s family and to all at The Kentown Wizard Foundation. Ken’s legacy will continue to inspire us as we build on the foundations he so generously laid."
Alex Copeland
Chief Executive, Over The Wall Camp
“Over The Wall was one of the first charities supported by The Kentown Wizard Foundation. An incredible charity whose aims and values closely align with our own.
Ken was always clear about his intentions. He wanted to see his success put to the best possible use, helping those in need now rather than delaying his giving until the future.
With that in mind, Over The Wall Camp has remained one of The Kentown Wizard Foundation partners for the past 10 years, from increasing residential camps to now the development of Ockbrook, an incredible property that will become the permanent home for Over The Wall Camp.
Its development is an element of Ken’s legacy that we are very proud of and we look forward to the progress being made this year.”
