We’re celebrating after receiving an ‘Outstanding’ OFSTED rating for our ‘exceptional and transformative’ camps for children with long-term health conditions and disabilities.
Having attended a camp this summer, OFSTED inspectors highlighted the ‘nurturing and engaging interactions between Over The Wall Camp staff, volunteers, and children.

Compassionate and child-centred ethos
The report also commended our staff team for their ‘compassionate and child-centred ethos’:
“Senior leaders demonstrate inspirational leadership, driven by a clear vision that every child should have an enriching experience at camp. Their meticulous attention to detail and thorough planning underpin the smooth running of camp, contributing directly to the high-quality experiences that children enjoy. A culture of continuous reflection, learning and review is embedded in practice.”

Professionalism, enthusiasm and support
The OFTSED inspector interacted with children and families throughout the visit to gain their views. Families were noted to “consistently praise the professionalism, enthusiasm and support offered by staff and volunteers” and described camps as a ‘lifeline’.
According to the report, one parent said, ‘After living on high alert for years during cancer treatment, and never being able to travel far from hospital, it was so lovely to feel that my son was well looked after and safe.”
