Diabetes Research & Wellness Foundation (DRWF) is a charity dedicated to supporting people living with diabetes and funding research to find a cure. They provide education, resources, and wellness programmes to help individuals manage their condition and stay well.
What is DRWF Family Camp?
DRWF Family Camp is more than a weekend away – it’s a space for families to relax, connect, and find joy in a safe and understanding community.
Created in partnership with the Diabetes Research & Wellness Foundation (DRWF), this unique weekend is designed to bring together families living with type 1 diabetes – offering a chance to engage, enjoy, rediscover childhood freedom, and take part in relaxed learning and discussion opportunities along the way.
Our shared mission is simple: to give families facing serious health challenges a place to just be together – surrounded by people who truly understand.
Who Can Come to DRWF Family Camp?
We welcome families who have a young person living with type 1 diabetes – this family weekend is designed with you in mind!
If this sounds like your family’s journey, we’d love to receive your application.
To attend DRWF Family Camp, your family must include at least one child aged 8–17. Families with only children under 8, unfortunately, aren’t eligible at this time.
What’s Included?
Camp is completely free for families to attend! A joyful weekend of mischief and magic made possible in collaboration with DRWF.

Travel Options: You’re welcome to make your own way to camp, or we’d be happy to collect your family from the nearest train station
